ViralOps

The story

Built by a builder,
for builders.

ViralOps connects indie builders and small teams with short-form creators on TikTok, Instagram, and X. Builders set a budget, define what they'll pay per view or per post, and creators get paid based on what their content does.

Why I built this

I'm Mo. I've been building apps and side projects for a while, and I kept hitting the same problem: you ship something and then nobody sees it.

I tried ads. Hard to measure, fast to drain your budget. Looked into agencies — they want a retainer before they'll even get on a call, and the minimum engagement is usually more than an indie product can justify. Big influencer platforms have follower cutoffs that exclude most of the creators who make interesting content. And across all of it, you still can't tell if the money did anything.

At the same time, there are a lot of creators on TikTok and Instagram with real, engaged audiences who can't land brand deals because they're not big enough for agencies to care. They're grinding out content. They'd genuinely be good at this. They just don't have a way in.

So I built ViralOps. You post a campaign, set what you'll pay (per view, flat fee, milestone bonus), fund it through Stripe, and creators apply. They post, you pay for what happened. No agency in the middle, no minimum commitment.

I built the whole thing myself — design, backend, payments, OAuth integrations, metric polling. It's a working product, not a landing page.

Who it's for

Indie builders & small teams

You shipped something and now the hard part is getting anyone to see it. Ads are a black box. Agencies want a retainer just to get on a call. ViralOps gives you a direct line to creators who'll post about your product — you set the budget, set what you'll pay per view or per post, and you're live.

Setup takes about 15 minutes. Nothing to sign, no minimum spend, no account manager you'll never actually talk to.

Creators of any size

The follower minimum that kills most influencer platforms doesn't exist here. What matters is whether people watch your stuff. A creator with 3,000 engaged followers posting to the right audience will out-earn a 300K account where nobody pays attention.

Browse campaigns, apply with a short pitch, post, and cash out when your balance hits $10. The rate shown on a campaign is what lands in your account — the platform fee comes from the builder's budget, not yours.

How it works

Builders post campaigns, creators apply, content goes live, metrics get tracked. Nobody else in the middle.

01

Builder

Post a campaign

Pick how you want to pay — flat fee per post, cost per view, milestone bonus, or a mix. Set a budget, fund it through Stripe, and the campaign goes live for creators to find.

02

Creator

Apply & get accepted

Creators browse the feed, apply with a short pitch, and connect their TikTok, Instagram, or X accounts via OAuth. Builders review and accept.

03

Creator

Post the content

Creators post to their social account and submit the URL. If the builder requires draft approval, they review first. Otherwise it goes straight to tracking.

04

Platform

Metrics are tracked automatically

ViralOps polls TikTok, Instagram, and X for views, likes, shares, and comments on a rolling schedule. Nothing to submit, nothing to chase.

05

Both

Earnings settle, payouts happen

Earnings calculate against the campaign's model as metrics come in. Creators cash out to their bank via Stripe Connect when their balance hits $10. Builders can see cost-per-view updating in real time.

The principles

Pay for results, full stop

Budgets are funded upfront, but the money only moves when views happen. Nobody earns anything from a post that sits at zero.

Creators keep everything

The platform fee (8%) comes out of the builder's budget. The rate shown to creators is what hits their account — no surprise deductions.

No surprises

Compensation is defined when the campaign is created and doesn't change. Metrics are tracked automatically. One fee (8%), taken from the builder side, stated upfront.

“I built it for two people: the indie developer who ships something they're proud of and can't justify a $5K agency minimum, and the creator grinding out good content who keeps getting turned away because they're not big enough yet. There should be a way to connect those two directly. So I built one.”
